Samsung has just made an announcement that the newest addition to Galaxy series of products, a Galaxy Camera 2 is on the way. The new camera is powered by Android Jelly Bean, and it features 21x optical zoom and16-mp BSI CMOS Sensor, exactly like the first Galaxy Camera. In addition, the device has 2GB of RAM, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, and 8.0 GB of internal storage along with microSD card support.
Samsung, so far, has said that Galaxy Camera 2 is going to have NFC, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity, while the original Galaxy Camera was with 3G and 4G options. Those wireless features may be reserved by Samsung for its smartphone variants such as Galaxy S4 zoom.
Availability and pricing are yet to be revealed, but the company will have the device on-hand at CES, so there are likely to come more updates about Samsung Camera 2. The original Samsung Galaxy Camera was released for $499.
